Hello, I am a new member of the Arizona Autism Coalition and a parent of a toddler recently diagnosed with ASD. I am in the process of enrolling in AZEIP and applying for ALTCS. The develompental pediatrician recommended ST, OT and Hab M servies for my son who is 28 months old. He currently has ST, OT and PT at Cardon's Children's Medical center, however I am eager to get him into more intensive therapies or programs. We will be attending SARRCs Jumpstart program in March and while I would love for him to attend SARRCs community school we cannot afford it since our insurance isn't accepted.
I am looking for additonal programs that other children have attended and had success with. I currently live in the west valley, but as most of the resources seem to be on the east side I am willing to commute. I would appreciate any input as I am new to all of this and am a bit overwhelmed by all the resources out there.

Hello,
I received your post on our website and wanted to follow up. You should contact Dr. Amanda Wood. She works around families with financial constraints and may be able to help. <a href="http://doctorwood.org/about.html" rel="nofollow">http://doctorwood.org/about.html </a>

I need help. I dont have insurance and my youngest got on DDD and ACHHHS because he is delayed but I cant get my oldest on it.
My oldest is actually autistic and weve been scholastically diagnosed in 3 states but since AZ needs a medical diagnosis - I cant get him approved. His teachers tell me to get him on, hes over 6 in diapers and I need help financially.
Does anyone know a Developmental Pediatrician or Psych who will diagnose him for free or not much?
Ive gotten 2 quotes and since I need 2 diagnosis's - the cost is impossible for me

Thank you for contacting us. I would recommend your son contact the Autism Society of Greater Tucson. They meet on a monthly basis and can be a great support system for him and the rest of the family. Here is their information: <a href="Thank you for contacting us.
My 6 yr old grandson has been diagnosed with high functioning autism. My son, his dad, is a single parent. Can you suggest the name of a support group in the Tucson area? Thank you.

I have a 15 year old step-son that has Autism and ADHD. He was never diagnosed until the age of 10. I have been taking care of him solely with not much support from biological father. I am at the point that I cannot deal with his behaviors anymore as I also have other children at home with severe issues. FATHER has moved out of state so I am dealing with alone. Any suggestions on residential programs that he can be placed? I love him and have tried to do everything I can for him, but he just doesn't seem to care. He hates, as does his Father having the label of Autism.
